I use parchment paper as an appliqué pressing sheet when I am layering appliqué pieces with fusible web. The fusible doesn't permanently stick to the parchment paper so I can press and lift off my appliqué pieces. How great is that?! When spray starching my fabric, I cover my ironing board cover with a sheet of parchment paper. My ironing board cover stays clean without any starch buildup. You can get parchment paper in the grocery store, and it is amazingly inexpensive. Thanks for the great tip. I use an additional sheet on top of the work so I don't get fusible on the bottom of my iron. - Sharon Questions? Comments? You can discuss this article with other Quilter's Review readers!
