Why is my e-mail address visible to everyone when I post a message?
Actually, that's your member name that you're seeing. So if you're seeing your e-mail address on all your posts, then your member name must be set to your e-mail address.
Can I change my member name? And will that protect my e-mail address?
Absolutely! Just click on the link that says "Edit My Member Data" that appears just under your member name in the center of the forum page heading. You can then change your member name to anything you want, as long as the name is not already being used by another member.
If I don't use my e-mail address as my member name, will other forum members still be able to send me e-mail?
Maybe. It depends on how you answered the question that asks "Let other members send you e-mail?" on the "Edit My Member Data" page.

If you clicked the "Yes" button for that question, then there will be a little envelope symbol on every one of your posts. Any forum member can click that symbol and send you an e-mail. But the forum will do the sending for them, so they still won't know your e-mail address.

If you clicked the "No" button for that question, then forum members will not be able to send you e-mail. Nor will they be able to find your e-mail address anywhere on the forums.
