Quilter's Review Sampler

Piecing It All Together
Wow! What a feeling! My first book is finished and ready to sell. I can hardly believe it.
You'll find lots of details (plus free sample pages) on the book's Web page, but I'll give you a quick synopsis right here.
The book is called The Quilter's Review Guide To Picking A Sewing Machine You'll Love. It's a 60-page e-book, so when you buy it you can download it right away and start reading -- no waiting impatiently for the UPS truck to arrive.
The centerpiece of the book is a form called Your Sewing Profile that will help you decide exactly what you need and want in a machine. Having written that down, you're much less likely to wind up with a machine that's not quite right for you.
I've also tried to distill everything I've learned about testing sewing machines from doing 20 sewing machine reviews over the past three years -- what to bring, what to test, how to test, and so on. If you use my approach, you'll really know how well a machine will work for you when you're done testing it.
You'll also find lots of good advice on picking a dealer…getting a good deal…learning to love your new machine…and more.
And speaking of getting a good deal, until October 15th we're offering all our loyal Quilter's Review newsletter readers who buy my new book a special price of $14.97. To get that special price, you must enter QR161 as the "Special promotion code" when you buy.
I hope you're one zillionth as excited about my new book as I am, and I hope you'll have the chance to use it to save yourself time, money, and frustration (as the subtitle says) either now, or sometime in the future.
OK, take a deep breath, Sharon…get back to the newsletter...
This week in the newsletter you'll find a new sewing machine review -- my 21st! The Viking Platinum 750 is a good electronic sewing machine for quilters, even though it comes from a slightly odd family, as you'll learn in the review.
And reader Becky Blankenship has a great tip for you this week -- a quick and easy way to get cat hair off a quilt. I'd be real excited about this tip, except my two cats, Precious and Zoe, never curl up for a nice long snooze on any of my quilts. (Yeah, right...)
I'll be back in your inbox on September 29th.
'Til then, quilt up a storm!
