Quilter's Review Sampler
#208 - August 15, 2005
Piecing It All Together
The children go back to school soon! Can you believe it?
This has been one of the nicest summers I've had in a long time. This year my daughter and three grandsons live close to us so we spent much of the time together in the water at the beach, in the brook and at the pond. More family came to stay at the house at Tucker Pond off and on all summer to visit and enjoy the summer sports. What a great place! It's hard to believe summer is almost over - I'm really going to miss it.
Now that my oldest grandson is on the football team, I'll have to miss the Red Sox baseball games occasionally to watch football, the first indication that fall is coming. Every season brings fun activities like quilting and it's time to start making quilted Christmas presents. In this issue, Sophie reviews two books to help you get started on your holiday projects.
I review a product to help you add style - typestyle, that is, to your quilts. I showed some beautiful ways to display your quilts. In addition, I reviewed a book that will help you make wonderful art quilts using diamond shapes in the background.
Quilter's Review Sampler will be back in your box September 5th. Until then, enjoy the rest of summer!

P.S. Need to make an easy, charming gift? My Charming Houses wall quilt pattern is a great way to assemble a quaint village scene using fusible web applique and 6" charms from your stash. You'll love the look -- see it here -- and making it couldn't be more fun!
